Statement denouncing
Russia and China using Veto power to reject the UN Security
Council resolution.
BPPU severely denounces Russia and China for using veto
power to reject the UN Security Council resolution upon
Burma.
The military regime is rejecting time and again to
the national reconciliation process. It is still continuing
with its oppressive methods to the people at large, monks
and democratic forces by detaining, torturing and killing in
a lawless manner; It is also committing crimes by using all
forms of torturing methods against the political prisoners,
attacking the minorities and doing systematic ethnic
cleaning, undergoing business with drugs and using forced
labor, These actions are tentamount to disturbing
international and regional peace. Hence, the family of
nations around the world made effort to put the junta to the
UNSC.
Russia and Peoples Republic of China took only to
business interest, political and economic profit with Burma:
The two countries sell hard ware, give military training,
encourage nuclear usage and investment. Because of those
reasons Russia and China shelter Burma from UNSC
resolutions.
Action of South Africa is deplorable also. Not
supporting what the family of nations and international
community aspires is also tentamount to making the evil
regime prolonged its life. Hence the BPPU vehemently
protests and severely denounces the two veto countries,
Russia and Peoples Republic of China.
